Seven Maoists Killed In Encounter With Security Forces In Chhattisgarh’s Bastar

In Chhattisgarh, seven Maoists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Bastar division yesterday. Talking to Akashvani News, Dantewada SP Gaurav Rai said that bodies of the slain Maoists have been recovered from the encounter site.

The encounter took place on the border of Narayanpur and Dantewada districts. After receiving intelligence inputs about the presence of Maoists in the forest of Gobel, a joint team of District Reserve Guard (DRG) and ITBP had set out on a search operation.

During the search operation, the encounter broke out in the jungles of Gobel.
